Our Prime Minister YAB Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin, on 11/01/2021, has announced that different movement control orders will be implemented in different states, starting from 13/01/2021 (Wednesday) until 26/01/2021 (Tuesday). The implementations are as follows:-
Restrictions and Permissions
General:
- No interstate and inter-district travels.
- Roadblocks will be mounted and movements are limited to 10km radius.
- No social gatherings, such as weddings, wedding receptions, conferences, religious processions (including Thaipusam), meetings, seminars, courses, and group sport activities.
- Only two persons per household are allowed to purchase groceries at nearby supermarkets or grocery stores.
- Only two persons allowed per vehicle.
- Eateries and hawker stalls may operate but only takeaways are allowed.
- Food delivery services are allowed.
- Supermarkets, healthcare services (including clinics, hospitals and pharmacies), and banks allowed to operate with strict SOP compliance.
Economic:
- Only five essential economic sectors allowed to operate: manufacturing, construction, services, trade and distribution, as well as plantations and commodities.
- Only 30% of workers within a company’s management group are allowed to go in to office; it is up to the employers to determine number of supporting employees permitted in office at any one time with total adherence to SOP.
- Non-essential services staff shall work from home.

Recreational activities:
- Outdoor recreational activities are allowed among those within the same household.
- Individuals must keep 2m distance at all times.
- Not more than two people are allowed to jog at any one time.
- Cycling not allowed in groups; only one person allowed.
Any person who does not comply with such rules and SOP may be liable for a fine not exceeding RM1,000.00 or to the imprisonment for a term not exceeding six months or to both.
